At the Tower of London event she revealed she tries to perform her stunts with her weaker left hand in order to appease the show's diehard fans. She said: "I do everything left-handed because my character does in the books, and I can't cope with the reaction if I don't!
"The character breakdown described Gendry as tall and muscular with black hair. I thought, 'I could dye my hair and hit the gym, but I can't stretch my legs! My friend is such a big fan of the books that even he didn't actually approve of my casting as Gendry.
